Green Bunker St. Pauli: Hamburg’s roof garden continues to gain height

The realization of the green bunker St.Pauli is considered a prime example of successful neighborhood participation – and is currently making further progress.

The new exterior elevator towers on the east side of the bunker now reach the height of the new building, thus establishing the connection to Level 0. Furthermore, the future sports and event hall is taking shape, where an acoustically demanding room-in-room construction including a surrounding gallery is being built. Another mammoth task is the cross-story steel trusses – for which preparatory measures are currently underway. Other trades have already reached Level 2, where the load-bearing wall panels are being completed and work has begun on the interior walls. The next steps will be the exterior walls and the installation of the first windows.
